Overview

The Seat API retrieves the seat assignment for a specified account, advertiser, or customer. Seat IDs are used to determine an object's eligibility to bid on a deal. Each seat ID acts as a unique buyer identifier shared with SSPs, ensuring that deal traffic and bid requests are routed only to the customers and accounts that are eligible to transact on that inventory.

Retrieving seat assignments via the API helps automate deal setup and troubleshooting by exposing the exact customer- and account-level seats that should be used when configuring or validating deals across supply partners.
