Overview

The Report API pulls aggregated delivery and performance metrics for feeding BI tools, dashboards, and internal analytics.

There are two types of reports:

• A report is a query in Looker. Pre-built reports include the performance, app, or inventory reports
• A saved report is a query that has been saved as a reusable object

You can also create a report schedule from a saved report. A report schedule automatically runs and delivers report results according to a set cadence.

Use the Report API to accomplish the following tasks:

• List the current user's accessible Looker folders, reports, or saved reports
• List all report schedules
• List report details
• Create, retrieve, update, or delete a report schedule
• Create, retrieve, update, or delete a saved report
• Run a one-time temporary report schedule
• Run an existing report schedule immediately
